UPSC NDA Exam Educational Qualification

NDA-Exam-educational-qualificationMany aspirants have confusion regarding educational qualification of National Defense academy (NDA) Exam. We are providing here clear view to candidates willing to apply for NDA exam or NA exam of union Public service commission.

As candiates require to apply for Army, Navy, Air Force and naval academy through NDA Exam, UPSC requires that candidates applying for NDA & NA exam should be:

  • Qualified 10+2 (12th) board exam from any recognized board or University, or
  • Appearing in 10+2 (12th) board exam and waiting for results or going to sit in exam but supposed to provide details of passing at time it will required by commission. Generally at time of SSB Interview.

Here are 4 (Four) situations of candidates both passed or appearing in 10+2 exam. Only these aspirants (Students) can apply for NDA and NA exam

  1. Passed 12th class of 10 plus 2 pattern of school education or an equivalent exam. but not having Physics and Maths together as subjects in class XII.
  2. Passed 12th class of 10 plus 2 pattern of school education or an equivalent exam with both Physics and Maths among the subjects.
  3. Appeared/Appearing at 12th class of 10 plus 2 pattern of school education or an equivalent exam but not having Physics and Maths together as subjects in class XII.
  4. Appeared/Appearing at 12th class of 10 plus 2 pattern of school education or an equivalent exam with both Physics and Maths among the subjects.

Note:It means, candidates in 11th Class are not eligible to apply for NDA exam or NA exam of UPSC.

Apart from educational qualification candidates should have in required age limit and of physical standard.
