NDA Exam 2014 Eligibility – New Age Limit

NDA-Exam-2014-eligibilityUnion public service commission has announced change in upper age limit of candidates willing to join National defense academy to serve nation with pride through one of the defense wings of Indian Army, Air force and Navy.  Change in age limit will be applied from NDA Exam 2014.

NDA Exam New Age limit- A candidate having age between 16-1/2 (Sixteen and Half Year) to 19-1/2 (Nineteen and Half year) is eligible to apply for National defense Academy Entrance exam going to held on 20.04.2014 onward. So now candidate can apply by considering this revised upper age limit for NDA 133 course commencing from January 2015.

NDA Exam Old Age limit – Earlier candidates have to be in age bracket of 16-1/2 (Sixteen and Half Year) to 19 (Nineteen Years) on the first day of month in which course at National Defense academy start.

NDA Exam 2014 Eligibility

  • Candidates in age group of 16-1/2 to 19-1/2 can apply
  • Only unmarried male candidate are eligible to sit in written exam.
  • Girls are not allowed to apply for NDA.
  • No reservation in age allowed for SC/ST/OBC etc
  • 10+2 qualified or appearing both can apply subject to prescribed age limit
  • While applying, candidates have to select first NDA or NA (naval Academy)
  • If selected NDA, candidates can opt for their preferences of Indian Army, Air force and Navy
  • To select air force or Indian Navy, candidates must studied with Math and physics in 10+2. However, for Indian army, candidates need not to be of science background.
  • After qualifying written exam, candidates will be called for SSB interview and medical examination
  • Candidates will finally selected for 3 years degree course of National Defense Academy on basis of all India merit list.
