Indian Navy has issued notification to employ young and enthusiastic contenders at Petty Officer, SSR, MR and NMR positions under naval command. They have published notice to attract unmarried candidates to enroll as Sailors under sports quota in 01/2014 batch. Navy is inviting extra ordinary sportsmen who had participated in Athletics, Aquatics, Basketball, Boxing, Best physique, Cricket, Golf, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, Tennis sports at University/ State/ National/ International level.

Indian Navy Sailors (Sports Quota) Vacancy Details
Indian Navy has issued notification to invite applications from unmarried candidates in the prescribed format released by command for the application procedure.
- Post no 1: Direct Entry Petty Officer
- Post no 2: Senior Secondary Recruitments (SSR)
- Post no 3: Matric Recruits (MR)
- Post no 4: Non Matric Recruits (NMR)
Candidates selected under the MR posts will be enrolled as Cook or Stewards, while NMR posts candidates will be enrolled as safaiwala.
Candidates who want to participate under sports quota vacancies should have played in team games or participated in individual events at State/ National/ International level.
Candidates participating at post 1 and 2 have passed intermediate (10 +2) or equivalent in any stream, post no 3 should have passed matriculation from recognized board, while post no 4 should have passed VI class.
Candidates participating in this job fair have to be in between 17 and 21 years i.e. candidates should have born between 1 Feb 1992 and 31 Jan 1997, including both date. However, upper age limit is extended up to 1 year for the aspirants applying for DEP officer.
Candidates who wish to apply for these positions should submit their application form in A4 size paper as per prescribed format issued by Indian Navy.
