Military nursing service provides medical assistance to the soldiers and Army officers including their families for better health. It is one of the prominent entrusted services of Indian Army to give medical aid to all members of Armed forces of India irrespective of Individual.

With a view to increase health facilities in Indian Military Hospitals, Indian Army has invited application from female candidates to enroll as SSC officers in MNS 2014 for the term of 14 years. Indian Army Nursing Officer (MNS) Vacancy Details

Indian Army Military Nursing services has invited application from aspiring young women to join Armed forces of India through this recruitment fair 2014.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are invited from female candidates only. Married/ unmarried/ widow/ Divorcee all individuals can apply for these vacancies. Other criteria of this recruitment are as follows:

Age Limits:

Candidates born between 13 Jan 1979 and 14 Jan 1993 including both dates are eligible for the application to this job.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have passed PG/ PB B Sc/ B Sc Nursing from INC recognized university or equivalent. Additionally, candidates must have been registered with State Nursing Council as a Midwife/ Nurse. Those, who are waiting for their results are not eligible for application.

Physical Fitness:

Physical fitness of candidates will be accessed as per the Army standards. X-ray examination of Chest and USG of abdomen is one of the criteria of Physical fitness.

Application Procedure

Applications from eligible and interested candidates are invited in prescribed format, which is released on the notification advertisement. Applicants have to type application as per format on A4 size paper in block letters. A Demand draft of SBI of Rs 150/ in Favour of DGAFMS (APF) Fund, payable at SBI, Central Secretariat, New Delhi should be enclosed as application fees. Candidates should send this completed application to below mentioned address enclosing all necessary documents and attested qualification certificates.

Attested copies of Documents required to enclosed are

  1. Matriculation Certificate/School Leaving Certificate (indicating date of birth)
  2. Valid registration certificate of upgraded PG/PB B Sc /B Sc Nursing course.
  3. PG/PB B Sc /B Sc Nursing certificate & mark sheet.
  4. NCC Certificate, if any
  5. Character Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer
  6. Proof of Indian Nationality (Nationality/Domicile certificate)issued by Tehasildar/SDM)
  7. No objection certificate from the present employer, if employed.
  8. Two self addressed envelope (27cm X 12 cm) one with Rs 40/- postal stamp and the other with Rs 7/- postal stamp affixed respectively

Selection procedure

Shortlisted candidates from the huge flow of applications on the basis of qualification certificates will be called for written examination, which will be organized in the 3rd week of May 2014. Those successfully passed through this examination will appear for Personal Interview followed by medical examination for final selection.
