Here are the complete details of upcoming notifications under various schemes which are offered by them elaborated clearly. Aspirants willing to apply for IAF jobs 2014-15 to become an officer in flying, technical and ground duty branches have various options to choose as per their educational qualification, age limit and specialization etc. Indian Air force offers job opportunities on commissioned posts to candidates who have qualification of Science 10+2 (12th class) with physics and mathematics, Engineers, Science Graduates, Arts Graduates, Commerce Graduates and postgraduates .
AFCAT Entry Scheme
Recruitment through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) entry is done on huge scale and large numbers of aspirants are selected in all branches of Air Force. Notification regarding AFCAT entry are published two times in year June and December. AFCAT 1 2014 notification is already issued. Through AFCAT, candidates are selected for Flying, Technical, and Ground duty branches. Aspirants between the ages of 19 to 23 years can look for this opportunity to enroll at Indian air force. Flying branch recruitment is done under short service commission and other two (Technical & Ground duty) are under permanent commission. AFCAT is available for both male and female candidates.
Under Ground duty, candidates who have passed post graduation can opt for the Administration Branch, Accounts Branch, Logistic Branch, Education branch, and Meteorology Branch.
UES Entry Scheme
University Entry Scheme will be announced in December 2014. Only male candidates participating in pre final year of Engineering would able to apply for this UES Entry Scheme. Selection of candidates will be done under permanent commission in the technical course. Aspirants in age group of 18 years and 28 years will be eligible for campus selection.
Combined Defence Service Entry scheme will commence around May 2014 and November 2014 in upcoming year. Unmarried male in the age bracket of 19 and 23 years will be eligible for applying in flying branch and will be selected through CDSE Entry. These vacancies are offered under Permanent Commission.
National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry
Aspirants possessing Air Wing Senior Division C certificate of the NCC are eligible for flying branch officer posts in IAF. Aspirants will be selected under permanent commission in Indian Air Force through the channel of NCC special entry. Aspirants have to apply through the proper channel of Air Squadrons/ DG of NCC.
National Defence Academy (NDA) Entry Scheme
National Defence Academy entry scheme will be announced during June 2014 and December 2014. Aspirants who have completed 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics subjects, as well as are in the age group of 16 ½ years to 19 years can apply under this scheme. Individual who desire to join Indian Air force as an officer will get chance through NDA entry. Indian Army will recruit 300 candidates in this course through NDA Entry for armed forces of India. This notification will be published under Permanent commission through UPSC.
Aeronautical Engineering Course Scheme
Aeronautical engineering course notification will be announced in June 2014. Indian Air Force will issue another notification regarding this entry in December 2014 as well. Aspirants who have completed Engineering degree are eligible for applying. Even those who are about to finish their final year are also eligible to apply for this course commencing next year. Candidates will be selected under Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission. Aspirants applying for these posts should be in the age group of 18 years and 28 years.
