Some of these candidates have completed their Part 1 registration and generated their challan for making fees payment (or willing to pay using debit card/ credit card or net banking) and some of them have already completed part 2 registration. Candidates who have completed their registration should have selected their preferences and opted for examination center. They should have received registration details on their e-mail. Now it’s time to wait for e-admit card and most important to prepare for written exam which is scheduled to be held on 09-04-2014.

UPSC CDS Exam (1) 2014 Eligibility

Age limit -

Notification released by Union public service commission(UPSC) has clearly explain details of age limits for aspirants of Indian Military academy, Air force academy, Indian Naval Academy and Officers training academy.

Educational Qualification

Educational qualification is minimum graduation degree. However candidates in their pre final year degree course can also apply. NCC certificate holder have reserved seats. To apply for CDS exam 2014 candidates should have required qualification.

Physical Standard

Height - Minimum height for male candidates is set to 157.5cms (157cms for navy and 162.5 cms for Air force. For women candidates minimum acceptable height is 152cms. For Gorkhas and individuals of Nort Eastern region 5 cms less than minimum height will be acceptable. Also relaxation in minimum height up to 2 cms is allowed to candidates of Lakshadweep.

Application Fees – Rs. 200 is to be paid by general candidates and OBC while no fees is payble by women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST category

Three phase selection process adopted to select candidates

  1. Written exam (Objective type)
  2. SSB Interview (Including PABT)
  3. Medical Examination
